More About Who We are.

OUR GOAL: To provide a state of the art technology epicenter that provides every child/youth in our community access to training in technology. They will have access to high speed internet as well, so we can bridge the gap of digital divide so they may be able to compete in the 21st century.

OUR MISSION: Provide a safe environment to facilitate advance learning in the latest technology resources available. Develop the youth’s educational potential, prevent juvenile delinquency and create future leaders in our community, so they will become productive adults in the technological world.

HISTORY: This is a vision of Eric Hall and Alfreda McFarlane Hall who in 2008 saw the need in the Okeechobee, FL, that the youth in the area had no options in the technology world. Eric decided to give as many children in the Douglas Park Community a laptop or desktop computer. He owned a computer business at the time called Comptech PC, Inc. and his mission was for every child in the community who didn’t have a computer to have one of their own.The Technology Outreach Center is a non-profit organization in Okeechobee, FL.

We have been in existence since 2008. Our vision and goals are to assist every youth/child in the county with a new, used or refurbished computer or laptop. Our focus is working together with community partnerships such as yourself to make our vision a reality. The youth/child family is economically disenfranchised and unable to afford the technology needed to allow them some equity, so they can compete in this technological age of the 21st Century.
